The Bet Ward was a small Lebanese Restaurant and Café located in Beirut, on a seaside cliff, and offering local Lebanese cuisine with a twist. The company was purchased by a larger group and wanted to franchise in the MENA region.
Our scope of work for the project was to recreate the whole Bet Ward identity including the design, architecture, interior, furniture, branding guide lines, and service design. We our required to establish brand interior design guidelines for all franchises globally.
Aimed at a larger audience and a younger age group, we wanted to create a vibrant design that fits for an exotic lunch, an early breakfast, and a business coffee at the same time. Our concept for the brand was to envision the restaurant as an outdoor area inspired by the outdoor seating areas in a traditional Lebanese house. Such outdoor areas enjoyed a metal or wood structure that is covered by climbing plants or grapes.
