The client for the Cuisine A Restaurant is a self-taught chef and his family, who lived most of their life in Bangy, the capital of Central Africa. The family decided to take the Chef passion to a new level by building his own restaurant offering an international menu in a cozy medium range experience.
The main challenge of the project was to design and build it in a remote site with minimum or no availability of high-end products and solutions that fit the design. The added execution and logistic complexity mean additional cost that reduced the budget for the deign itself.
Inspired by a mostly French food menu, our design suggested a simple interior in French interior design mood, that adopts use of simple and easy to build and install materials. The restaurant occupies the first floor of an existing apartment building, with too many random columns on the floor plans the access was via a stair from the ground floor.
