The IY House enjoys a breathtaking view, on a steep cliff, facing the Mediterranean sea. The project plot however, is very tight, with close neighbors to the North and South facades.
The project is defined by monolithic interesting prisms that appear to be thrown randomly on the cliff, coming a complex geometry. The prisms are almost completely solid to the street and neighbor sides, while enjoying a floor to ceiling façade to the West, to allow the house to capture the magnificent views.

The main challenge was to design a house on a very steep and small plot, with a relatively large foot print, while ensuring each and every room have a direct sea view.
All the main living areas, kitchen, master suite, and the two-bedroom suites in the program enjoy floor to ceiling glass faced toward the sea view, while at the same time overlooking the back garden and an infinity pool.
The infinity pool is located at an altitude of 18 Meters from the street level below, while the footings of the building are located at 8 meters level below grade due to site complexity.
The exterior is cladded with HPL paneling and Italian Travertine stone, while the interiors are kept simple, and white in a modern Mediterranean design with blue and metallic house reflecting the sea and sky colors in the horizon.
