The project calls for a complete redesign of the main Flagship Store located in a vibrant and busy area in the city of Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The existing store is over 12 years old, and was made on a very basic design. Due to operational restraints, the project call for a full redesign and renovation of the store, without halting any back kitchen operations, since the back kitchen serves many other branches nearby.
Being the first and central branch, the interior concept of the project was uplifted even more than other Eric Kyser stores to preserve its historical values, and introduce the store as a beacon for the Eric kayser experience in the country.
The design was heavily inspired by the scenery of Paris, recreating the feeling of dinning on a Parisian brasserie or coffee shop with French design elements, re introduced in a modern way.
The previous seating area was preserved but re configured in a new seating layout to allow a more vibrant interior, and easier circulation. The bar size was enlarged and unified, and kept in simple marble finish as per the Eric Kayser brand guidelines.
The interior walls are covered with light wood veneer and dark mirrors to make the interior look even wider, while the ceiling was treated in simple white accents.
