The mission on the SBC centre was to create a modern low rise office block that maximizes the use of a relatively expensive plot within the prevailing building rules and regulations. The building was divided into two blocks with the first containing office and commercials spaces, and the other continuing only office. The back block was raised above ground to accommodate the required car parking.
The building was envisioned as a series of horizontal concrete slabs, cladded with GRC units, and connected by white random patterns of metal and GRC cladding. The facade is designed in a randomized dynamic pattern with oblique large columns to reflect the dynamic and busy nature of the area.
